SourceTech Tellus® 2.8

SourceTech Tellus® 2.8 is now released and can be downloaded by all distributors.

New features in 2.8:

  • Support for Presence Server 2.8
  • Private calendar items is now allowed in Tellus
  • Manuals are moved from TellusWeb to our portal
  • Instructions videos are now available on TellusWeb and hosted on our portal
  • Initial precompile delay removed for compatible servers (Windows 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012) which makes TellusWeb faster.
  • Tellus Mobile is no longer in beta state.
The Tellus Operator OXE module is not supported in release 2.8, it has been replaced by 4059EE. The upgrade from Tellus Operator to Tellus feature pack for 4059EE is free for all current SourceTech Tellus operator customers.

News in Tellus Web

Private Items

Items in the external calendar that is flagged as private can now be allowed in Tellus. The settings for this is found in the administration of Calendar servers.

Detailed pane

  1. Link to SourceTech Portal
  2. Link to instructions videos
  3. Data presence is displayed, from e.g. Lync.
  4. Tele presence is displayed, from TDC Mobil or Telenor Bedriftsnet.
  5. Three weeks prior to the users birthdaythe birthdate will be displayed here. The icon will change to blue when there is one week left and will turn red on the users birthday. The number displayed in the parentheses is the age that the user becomes.
  6. The users birthdate is also displayed here.
  7. Data presence is also displayed in the result grid.
  8. Tele presence is also displayed in the result grid.

 Tellus Feature Pack for 4059EE

  1. Data presence is displayed, from e.g. Lync.
  2. Tele presence is displayed, from TDC Mobil or Telenor Bedriftsnet.

Tellus mobile

Recent and upcoming absences are now visible in the users detailed pane, the active absence will be displayed in yellow. The old absence will be in "disabled" mode and the future absence will be displayed in grey.

The users birthdate will be displayed in the detailed pane. 

Support for changing language is also added to this version and the setting for this can be found in the "Settings" menu.

Possibilities to search for other criterias than "Name/Number" is added.

  

Presence server

  • New telepresence provider: TDC Mobil
  • New endpoint: Tellus API
    • The Tellus API endpoint provides data and/or tele presence to the Tellus Database.
